Charlton Reynders, III, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Brings more than fifteen years of experience in investment management and social venture investing to Reynders, McVeigh Capital Management • As a senior officer and director of new business at Lowell, Blake & Associates, oversaw growth in assets under management at the firm from just over $200 million to nearly $700 million. Served as a senior equity strategist, and led many key institutional relationships, advising on more than $1 billion in outside assets • Has structured and funded public/private partnerships that have brought more than $150 million in revenues to leading cultural institutions around the world, projects that have won numerous awards. The IMAX film, Dolphins, produced in conjunction with the National Wildlife Federation, garnered an Academy Award nomination in 2000; another IMAX film, Coral Reef Adventure, received the largest grant in the history of the Informal Science Division of the National Science Foundation • Previously served as Executive Director of The Whale Conservation Institute, the nation’s leading independent cetacean research center, which had been founded under a grant from the MacArthur Foundation • Chat graduated from Princeton University with a degree in History. Chat currently sits on the Advisory Boards of Project Adventure and the MacGillivray Freeman Educational Foundation.

Patrick McVeigh, President and Chief Investment Officer. Has twenty-three years of experience in the investment management industry • As one of three original employees at Trillium Asset Management, his research was a key factor in the growth of assets at that firm to $700 million • After eighteen years at Trillium, assumed the position of Director of Research at Lowell, Blake & Associates. In that role, introduced several new investment themes to the company’s research product, essential drivers that enabled the firm’s accounts significantly to outperform all relevant market indices • A recognized leader in the field of socially responsible investing, has served as Managing Editor of Investing for a Better World, authored numerous articles on ethics and ecology, and contributed chapters to The Social Investment Almanac (New York: Henry Holt, 1992) and Working Capital: The Power of Labor’s Pensions (Cornell University Press, 2001) • Since 1995, has been project manager for a series of groundbreaking studies conducted by the Social Investment Forum, tracking the growth of socially responsible investing and its implications in the investment markets • Has served on the boards of SEED: The Haitian Community Loan Fund, directing approximately $1 million to peasant cooperatives in Haiti to create businesses; the Social Investment Forum; and the San Jose Food Co-operative • Patrick graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Economics and he was honored as the Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the West Coast Athletic Conference in 1978. He also attended a Master’s program in Economics and Sociology at Boston College.

 

Eric Shrayer, CFA, Vice President is our senior research analyst. He graduated from Tufts with a degree in biology and received his master’s degree in business, magna cum laude, from the Olin School of Business at Babson College. Before joining Reynders, McVeigh he has spent nine years as a branch manager with Park Avenue Securities, a division of Guardian Life Insurance Company.

Tom Roche, CFA, Vice President has been with us since day one, serving both as a research analyst and an information management specialist. He graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a degree in economics. He started his career with State Street Bank and spent six years working as an analyst with Scudder Kemper Investments and Old Harbor Capital Management.

Susan Trask is our administrative and compliance coordinator. She brings nearly twenty years of experience in real estate and the investment business to our enterprise. Susan worked for Babson-United and Boston Advisors for six years before joining us.

Julie Johnson, CFA, Vice President of Reynders McVeigh and Managing Director of Fresh Pond Capital. She has worked in socially responsible investing since 1998 and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2006. Ms. Johnson is a board member of Camp Starfish, a non-profit providing summer programs for children who are behaviorally and emotionally disturbed. She also is very active in supporting local agriculture and children through her work with Waltham Fields Community Farm and The Food Project. She has collaborated with Resource Generation, a progressive organization working with wealthy young people to affect social change. Ms. Johnson graduated summa cum laude with honors from Bowdoin College with a double major in History and Women's Studies.

Ashley Petrillo is our office administrator. She graduated from Salem State College with a degree in Education and Business.  She worked with children for eight years before joining us to assist with client service and communications.
